The line is promising: glow-stick neons grace beltlines and necklines alike. Textures like crocodile skin, various sized knits and fur make the prints Williamson became famous for during his time at Pucci shout out. Maroon leather pants and thick multi-tone cocoon coats stand out as statement pieces, while electric graphic prints and intricate embellishment on shift dresses remind us that evening chic doesn’t have to be boring.
In honour of the online boutique release of the collection, Williamson is holding a party on July 31, 2009 in London to showcase his wares, but alas, it’s just for the media. Online journalists and bloggers will be treated to a sneak peak of Williamson’s line. So keep your eyes peeled loyal fans, we are sure oodles of lush images and words will be hitting the waves of the Internet after this one, we are just sorry we can’t be there too.
From the looks of it, Matthew Williamson’s upcoming line will make the transition into winter a little less cruel. And being able to shop the looks from the comfort of your couch while it storms outside? Priceless (almost).
