Mathieu Missiaen, creator of the brand Ndeur is known for his exceptional work with custom painting shoes. However, the artist has found a new medium to work with. Forget the usual leather and canvas, Missiaen has designed a paper shoe. Practical? No, but cool? Yes.
The paper pumps are origami inspired and full of different angles. The meticulous triangular folds on the shoe range in size, which gives the shoe an asymmetric twist, while being illuminated in a variety of colors.
Originally from Paris, Missiaen got his start with Toronto’s Kensington Market boutique, RAGE when he put intricate designs on vintage shoes. From there, the buzz started and now, there’s no stopping him. Be sure to keep a look out for Ndeur’s upcoming custom puppets and bikes!
