The man who put the spark back in Gucci is looking to come on back to women’s wear. After Ford left Gucci he successfully launched menswear, sunglass and fragrance collections as well as directing his first feature film.
But we knew he couldn’t stay away from what brought his name to the spotlight in the first place: Women’s wear. The end of London fashion week was a buzz with chatter about Ford preparing for his first women’s collection in more than half a decade. We’d say that is more than buzz worthy news.
His company, Tom Ford International is currently looking for $50 million in investment to start production. So if you have the ducats pony up, we want to see what Mr. Ford has been cooking up for us.
Ford left Gucci and YSL after 10 years in 2004 after failed contract negotiations with partner group PPR (Pinault, Printemps, Redoute).
