Designer Body Art

Thanks to Chanel, ‘bad girl’ status can now be obtained by the ultra feminine.

Transfers and body paint were all over the s/s catwalks; first at Rodarte, and closely followed by Jean Paul Gaultier, but it was Chanel that hit the wearable trend nail on the head.

Chanel’s version of the body art trend are whimsically cute temporary tattoos, with designs including quaint doves hold strings of pearls in place and chains of round jewels, with the classic Chanel interlocking C’s attached to the ends, hanging from flower adorned branches.

The transfer tattoos are set to hit boutiques, concessions and the Selfridges counters starting the beginning of March. And with each set of 55 individual tattoos retailing for £49 ($78 USD), they’re not only wearable but, more importantly, affordable.
