Tony Blair has landed a new role with the luxury goods firm that owns Louis Vuitton. Nothing has been set in stone, but negotiation deals with the firm are expected to be a finalized later on this year. And for those who don’t know, Blair was the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2000-2007.
So, how does a politian segway into fashion? Well… apparently Blair is close friends with Bernard Arnault, who conveniently owns companies such as Moet and Krung, Christian Dior, Hennessy cognac and Louis Vuitton, and is 15th richest man in the world with a fortune over $10 billion. Can we can say coincidence?
For those who love the brands that Arnault owns, don’t worry, Blair’s position won’t be designed based.
We all know he has no business designing, but as an advisor he will be working closely with Mr. Arnault ie: his BFF. So the question is, what exactly is Blair’s role as an advisor?
Blair’s part-time role will earn him six figures, but with fiends like Arnault who needs money, the perks are just as rewarding.
